Singer-Songwriter

15-year-old South African–Irish singer-songwriter Niamh Beatrix Smith has already performed at the 2026 BCMA Showcase, broken into the HotDisc UK Top 10, and begun working with acclaimed Irish musician and producer Cian Boylan at Camden Recording Studios in Dublin.

Her original music has received airplay across Ireland and South Africa, including RTÉ Radio 1, FM104, Beat, RSG, JacarandaFM and PretoriaFM, where she achieved a No.1 radio chart position.

At 14, Niamh was selected to sing the South African national anthem alongside the Irish Army Band at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, performing in front of 40,000 people at the Ireland v South Africa international, broadcast to a global audience. She was also a Top 3 finalist in Junior Eurovision Ireland.

Niamh has been featured by Hot Press, SPIN, Jamsphere and Rolling Stone en Español.

Now developing a distinctive sound and songwriting identity of her own, Niamh is still only 15 — and very much at the beginning of her story.

PEBBLES IN THE SEA

November 2025

Niamh Beatrix—riding the momentum of two consecutive Hot Disc chart-toppers—offers a love song as tender as it is disarming.

Afrikaans Country Song

Niamh Beatrix returns to her roots

Nou Praat Jy is a tribute to Afrikaans – the language of Niamh's heart – but also a voice for expats, or anyone who has ever felt that others just don’t really understand them.

LIKE YOUR MAMA TOLD YOU

FIRST BIG COUNTRY SINGLE

Like Your Mama Told You is Niamh Beatrix’s first toe-tapping country single, and it’s got everything you’d want in a debut — it's playful, cheeky, and full of sass. An original blend between traditional, modern and pop country, the song is about knowing your worth and expecting to be treated right. Niamh’s vocals shine through the whole track, and she keeps it fun while still hitting you with that classic country warmth.

APPROVAL

Music that doesn't fit in a box

"This track is positively captivating" - Hot Press Magazine.

At 14-years old Niamh delivers a stripped-back, soul-baring track about our need for validation. Her previous single made her one of the youngest artist to chart on HotDisc — but APPROVAL feels like a true arrival. What does the young artist say about her new creation?

"Whether you're a kid or an adult - approval means wayyy too much to people today. The truth? There are as many opinions as people on this earth… but only the ones rooted in real love truly matter.

My song APPROVAL doesn't fit neatly in a box – and that’s the point. It just has something to say. R&B. Soul. Jazz Pop. Rock. Unexpected. Unapologetically me."

TOO LOUD AVAILABLE ON ALL MAJOR PLATFORMS NOW

a heartbreak song that cuts deeper than most adult records

It’s a break-up song, but really it’s about what it feels like to love someone too much for them to hold. “Too Loud” is unfiltered and real. No vocal effects. No digital polish.

“Pure poetry from a teenage heart. This music transcends Niamh's young age, as I can certainly hear the echoes of Brandi Carlisle and Billie Eilish.” – SPIN Magazine US, Ron Hart

“Country-tinged, indie-bent, singer-songwriter purity — a song without amor, meant to bruise. And in that vulnerability, Niamh shines. “Too Loud” doesn’t shout to be heard. In a world of polished pain and algorithmic hooks, this is the sound of a real heart speaking — and it’s unforgettable.”– AvA Live Radio US, Jaqueline Jacks

"This is not just promising work from a young artist—this is accomplished artistry from a voice that demands to be heard." - Rick Jamm, Jamsphere Magazine
